I learned a new word this weekend, a wonderful word: vacation.
But before I get started, let me just say, "Happy Birthday!" to my mamacita. We flew out on her birthday and look what Mr. Josh and Ms. Carrie showed up at the airport wearing!
I had to have a turn, obviously.
Ok... back to my story. Vacation. Vacation is where you play and nap all day from the comfort of your stroller and where all of your waking hours are spent seeing, hearing, and smelling wonderful things. (Psst. See my two bottom teeth making their debut?)
And mama was worried I would have trouble sleeping in the stroller... :]
Every time I woke up I was in a new world. From the snow covered land of Hogsmeade to the brightly colored Seuss's landing, it was all amazing and fun.
Vacation is also where you eat more than usual. I was scarfing down 2 pounds of food a day instead of my usual 1! I don't know what got in to me.
I went on my first three rides ever. First was the Caro-Seuss-El. It seemed to spin awfully fast so daddy thought it would be a good idea if I rode on the stationary seat. I think he was right. Here we are pointing at daddy going round and round and up and down.
After the Caro-Seuss-El daddy left with Josh, and mama and Carrie took me on two more rides. Too bad dad wasn't around with his better judgement. The next ride we went on, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish, squirted water right in my face! And the ride after that, The Cat in the Hat, spun me in circles with a lot of force. In the dark. With flashing lights. And loud things. And did I mention forceful spinning? Yeesh.
I also went into Twister, Shrek 4D and Fear Factor Live with the adults. All three shows were loud and scary. I enjoyed the outdoor seating at Fear Factor Live though... shade and a cool breeze on a warm Florida day.
Last, but not least, we found my namesake's Hollywood Star at Universal Studios. I hope you can tell how excited I am even though I'm covering my face.
On the last day of vacation we decided to take it easy. Apparently rest isn't that common when you're on vacation. I took extra long naps and hung out by the pool. My first swim! I'm pretty sure I'm made for fun-in-the-sun and I can not wait for summer to come back to North Carolina.
Posing...
Sunbathing...
Testing the "waters" at the kiddie pool...
Playing in the big pool with dada...
Blowing kisses with mama...
