Today is the day my board books came to life! Mommy, daddy, and I met grannie, grandpa, and Landen at... the zoooooooo. The zoo! What a wonderful place the zooooo is. I couldn't take my eyes off of the giraffes. They really are "so tall!" like mama says. The seal kept flying around in his big swimming pool and I thought a couple of times that he was going to fly right into me. The bear looked so happy to be taking a bath, and didn't seem the least bit concerned about the water in his face. There were lots of different monkeys to see, and some of them had little tiny babies. I made monkey noises at each of them and meowed at all of the big cats.

Hip Hip Hooray
I love Super Why so much I can't stand it!! I will knock over any toy in my way to get a chance to wave at the super readers taking off in their why flyers.
Here's one more... I can hardly contain myself!
My Sweet 16 Months Part 2: Kidzu!
It rained cats and puppies all day yesterday so I didn't get to do much "special" for my sweet 16 months. Today mommy and I met Melissa, Haven, and Titus at Kidzu and it was suuuuuch a good time. Mommy and I got there a bit early so we just hung on the sidewalk waiting for our friends and enjoying the low humidity.
At Kidzu, I played with crayons of all colors even though I called them all "blue."
Haven colored too AND played with scissors. I'm not quite big enough for that yet.
I don't really understand the fun of "pretend" when the sink doesn't actually have water in it. The water is the fun part!
The chefs coat was not one size fits all...
So I traded it in for an apron...
We baked muffins...
Made banana smoothies...
And shared miss Melissa's lap...
I think this is one of my favorite places so far and I really can't wait to go back!!

Sweet 16 Months
I have officially dropped my 2nd nap and have fully embraced the lifestyle and schedule of a toddler. Mama and I do some toddler-based activity outside of the house in the morning, return home for lunch and nap, then either play around the neighborhood or run a mommy-based errand in the afternoon. It's awesome!
I just LOVE the wheels on the bus and clapping my hands when I'm happy and I know it. I learned both at the library where I go to a couple of classes a week.
Super Why is my absolute favorite thing to watch on TV. I practically hyperventilate while trying to wave at the characters to get their attention.
I'm really ready to start talking. I don't always get it right, but I sure love to try to say something when mama or daddy ask me to repeat a word. B's and P's are my favorite right now so I'm most eager to say bye-bye and to try to say ball, blue, purple, and hippo. I've called the hippo "bo, po, and papi" trying to get it right. I'll get there! I also said "ruh" for red yesterday... my first R word.
I'm a huge cuddler. I love to lay my head on my mama while I eat cheerios and watch morning cartoons or on daddy's lap while we watch Wheel of Fortune and I try to stall heading to bed. When I'm playing independently I have to stop and run give them a kiss every now and then.

Here's me looking like a real toddler in my fall gear one chilly morning and sporting my very first pony tail, today, because I'm sweet 16 and that's what you've gotta do!

Happy 2nd Birthday Haven!
The festivities started on Saturday with a party at Northgate Park. Didn't get many pictures because we were mostly running and playing, but it was such a fun party filled with everything Elmo.
Next was lunch at Whole Foods on Haven's actual birthday, Tuesday.
The birthday fun ended on Friday at Northgate Mall where we played on out-of-order quarter rides and then rode the carousel.
I guess we all look a little dazed after spinning in circles for 4 minutes, but I promise we had a great time celebrating Haven's 2nd birthday :)

Labor Day Piano Concert
The grown-ups were being sooooo boring with their grown-up conversation at the labor day cook-out, so Arne, Sabina, and I decided to liven up the party a bit.
